The Turaki of Ilorin and All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has assured the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the party’s Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of landslide victory in the 2023 elections.

Mustapha who gave the assurance during the inauguration of his campaign team in the four Local government areas and 52 wards of the Senatorial district, also charged members the committee to ensure the victory of all APC candidates in the state.

According to him, members of the campaign committee were selected based on their capacity, adding that the aim of the team is to canvass votes and mobilize supporters to win the election.

He said the campaign must be done in correlation with its “doing it differently” slogan, stating that members of the committee must carry out issue based campaigns devoid of blackmail and violence.

He said, “Our task as a team is to canvass votes, mobilize voters and generally prosecute and win the 2023 general elections for the APC across board.

“Our task is not merely to deliver Saliu Mustapha as a senator. Rather, we have the mandate to ensure that all the party’s candidates, including our Presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win by a landslide in Kwara.”

Speaking on his agenda, Mustapha said if elected, his major focus will be in the areas of human capital development, education, agriculture, infrastructure and security.

Mustapha said while the people of the Senatorial district expect much from him, he will do everything to meet their expectations.

“As you already know, I have tried over the years to do my best to help and support as many people within our community, through the Saliu Mustapha Foundation, I have consistently promoted education by awarding scholarships to brilliant but indegent students; I have given financial support to our traders and young people running small and medium enterprises; I have continued to support widows to live a more dignified life. But I do not believe this is the best that I can do, and I have the conviction that the Senate will offer me a bigger platform to further fight for the interest of all categories of people within the Kwara Central Senatorial District,” Mr Mustapha said.
