Hon. Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, with reverence to his aspiration for the gubernatorial seat under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has paid a consolidation visit to delegates in some local government areas in Kwara State. The Prudent Watch report.
His visitation was geared towards seeking total support from the delegates in the forthcoming party primary and 2023 general elections.
While addressing the Moro local government area delegates, he appreciated their warm and lovely reception. Then thanked them for the love and positive energy shown after discussing his vision and manifesto of his party with them, “I felt the love just like other local government areas I had visited”, he said.
“All delegates didn’t shy away from laying bare, the challenges bewildering their local government, and craved for improvement. I promised that their yearning will be met, as they align with the manifesto of the Social Democratic Party (SDP)”, he stated while addressing Ifelodun Local Government Area delegates.
During the visits, he confirmed at Oyun local government that the majority of delegates have been part of the journey to liberate Kwara over the years, hence, they understand the issues at stake, and communicated them well as expected.
While in the residence of Prince Saheed Popoola in Offa Local Government he stated that our discussion with Prince and the delegates was centred on ways forward for the progress and success of the party in the state.
Thereafter, he urged the visited delegates to support and work for the success of his ambition in the coming election and he promised not to disappoint them if given the mandate to serve.
