HAM Foundation is delighted to announce the successful shortlisting of 500 beneficiaries for the Manko 1.0 Grant Award, covering all five Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Kwara North. The selection process was thorough and rigorous, as our team of screeners carefully evaluated a total of 1,588 applications, based on merit, outstanding academic performance, and the submission of required documents in the appropriate formats during registration.
To ensure inclusivity and gender balance, we selected a diverse group of beneficiaries, comprising 40% female and 60% male students. A total of 100 applicants were chosen from each of the five local governments, resulting in 500 successfully selected applicants.
This milestone marks a significant step in our mission to assist students statewide. We are excited to announce that subsequent versions of this program, tagged Manko 2.0 and 3.0, are underway to expand our reach to students in Kwara South and Kwara Central, respectively. Students in these categories who were not selected in the 1.0 phase will be considered in these subsequent phases.
Notably, the Manko Grant takes holistic approach towards education that extends beyond tertiary education, by supporting students across various educational levels, including, packages covering the fees for WAEC, NECO and JAMB for Senior Secondary School, and BECE for Junior Secondary School, as well as common entrance examination at the Primary school level. This comprehensive approach underscores our dedication to providing support to students throughout their educational journey.
Congratulations to all selected beneficiaries! We look forward to providing more opportunities in the future. Stay tuned for updates!
