The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded over 200,000 members in its ongoing electronic registration exercise, marking a significant boost for the party in the state.
The party’s Organising Secretary, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, disclosed on Saturday that a total of 202,504 members have so far been registered, comprising 125,217 men and 77,287 women.
Ribadu said the party successfully met its initial target of registering 200,000 members before January 20, describing the outcome as a fulfilment of commitments made to key stakeholders.
“We successfully met our target of 200k people prior to January 20th, fulfilling our commitment to key stakeholders,” he said in an update on the exercise.
He added that the APC remains optimistic about achieving its next target of 300,000 registered members by January 31, urging ward agents and party officials to sustain the current momentum.
“I am pleased to report that our goal of 300k by January 31st remains achievable. Let us continue to sustain our momentum, our dear ward agents,” Ribadu stated.
