Ọmọoba Adetunbi Lawal-Anísulògun, a community development strategist and indigene of Aofin Compound, Araromi-Opin in Opin Ward of Ekiti Local Government Area, has congratulated the people of Ekiti Local Government on the unanimous approval of the 2026 budget, christened “Renewed Hope.”
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, Adetunbi described the passage of the budget as a landmark achievement that reflects the commitment of the local government leadership to inclusive development and sustainable progress.
He commended the Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Awelewa Olawale Gabriel, as well as members of the legislative arm led by Rt. Hon. Chief Michael Fatoyinbo Olajide Michael, for what he termed their visionary leadership and dedication to the welfare of the people.
Adetunbi noted that the key focus areas of the budget—security, infrastructure development, student welfare, and technological advancement—are timely and well-thought-out, adding that their effective implementation would significantly improve the quality of life across the local government.
He particularly applauded the proposed establishment of a modern ICT centre and Computer-Based Test (CBT) facility at the Ekiti Local Government Secretariat in Araromi-Opin.
According to him, the initiative would bridge the digital divide, enhance digital literacy among youths, and provide a conducive environment for JAMB and other examination candidates to excel.
“As a teacher and IT specialist, I see this ICT and CBT project as a game-changer that will equip our students with 21st-century skills and prepare them for global competitiveness,” he said.
Describing the 2026 budget as a significant step towards realizing the collective aspirations of Ekiti Local Government, Adetunbi urged all stakeholders to support the leadership in ensuring the successful implementation of the outlined projects.
He also called on sons and daughters of Ekiti Local Government to continue backing the developmental initiatives of the Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON-led Kwara State Government, stressing that sustained support remains key to lasting transformation.
Adetunbi concluded by reaffirming his optimism about the positive impact of the “Renewed Hope” 2026 budget and congratulated the people of Ekiti Local Government on what he described as a new chapter of progress and opportunity.
