Alhaji AbdulFatai Dare Magobon is a retired civil servant, grassroot politician and a practicing Muslim by birth from Oke Leru area of Agbaji quarters, Ajikobi ward of Ilorin West Local government area,Kwara State.

Recently, it is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that he has declared his intention to run for the Seat of the representative representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency at the Nigerian House of Representatives under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

It is rather hard to affirm what our founding fathers would have been left thinking about the current state of the House of Representatives based on where we are today be it politically, economically, socially and human development wise.

There is no doubt they will surely be horrified by the current state of our various constituencies. During their days as a viable and upright representative, no occupant of that office as the representative would ever be so incapable and unwilling to discharge their public responsibilities as a legislator.

I have to acknowledge and reiterate on the track record being set by Alhaji that he will make a successful representative based on his antecedents during his days in the civil service and also as a person who has been tested in several capacities within the civil service.

As a gifted civil servant and a grass root mobilizer which stands as a very crucial quality he is deemed more than prepared for the task ahead as a legislator. The task as a legislator requires a person to perform well under immense pressure, communicate effectively.

It is on record that AbdulFatai Dare Magobon has never solicited or requested to run for a Public Office under any party. At this point, we then need to wake up from our slumber as I have suspected a brim full sense of duty, commitment and the love for the people which has since appeared to be a pushing force for him to declare his intention to run for the seat of the representative representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency under the auspices of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
