“It is with a heart full of joy that I, on behalf of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), wish all Nigerian writers and the entire citizens of our dear country a Christmas celebration filled with joy and peace.

Christmas is an annual feast that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. It is a demonstration of God’s great love for mankind; and also a time of healing and renewed hope of goodwill towards all people.

As authors, this time calls for sober reflection on how we can deploy our creative talents in the promotion of such invaluable ideals as peace, tolerance, patriotism, forgiveness, compassion, and empathy.

It is my sincere prayer that the peace and joy that come with this festive season will radiate in every heart.
