I can’t stop laughing since I read this deodorant publication on Dr. Bukola by Wahab Oba.
To this Saraki Media guy (who was probably part of that Sarakite Image Laundry Project perfectly executed and covered by his media at that Yidi ground prayer); the loudest of ovation that followed the ‘Tradition-Disrespect Exit’ of Dr. Bukola at this year Yidi ground irked AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman and his kitchen cabinet and I asked how?
Because I would not understand how that disrespectful action of Dr. Bukola at this Year’s Yidi Prayer will be a thing of pride for any of his lovers to discuss.
Dr. Bukola, a supposed high-ranking Chief in Ilorin Emirate exited a prayer ground when his paramount Emir was still giving his closing remark; how would that be a did to be envied by a sensible person!!!
How would any reasonable, cultured and sound-minded person think such a blatant dishonoring to the honorable worship of Allah and royal stool would be envied by any student of sound culture?
The aggressiveness of the fallen Dynasty’s supporters seeking the revival of the dead glory of their master is obviously becoming uncontrollable and affecting their right sense of judgement!!!
To a normal reasoning sense, Yidi Ground or the Ileya Festive is sacred, why would anyone raised with normal religion ethic be praising a politician during such worship period, whether he is a Muslim, Christian or even a Pagan?
If a British-bred Muslim -so to say- like his Boss, does not know this, I believe an Ilorin Muslim like Wahab Oba should ordinarily correct his Boss, or at least hide in shame for that blatant insult on common sense.
Although, Wahab Oba wants to mislead the public by presenting the PDP-staged show at the Yidi Ground as the rejection of the Governor, but must have forgotten that those who passed Unity Road to see the works done or ongoing works need not be told that Gov. AbdulRahman is working wonders in Kwara State.
He rightly said that Gov. AbdulRahman has been doing the very best in working with Kwara money, but an attempt to discredit those good works done by the Governor by presenting it as an attempt to erase the history of Dr. Bukola is ridiculous.
We are not surprised because the expectation of Wahab or his other friends is for Gov. AbdulRahman to be repeating the slogan of ‘allocation cannot pay workers salary’, his Boss’s slang during that reign of the locusts, and be carting away Kwara money as his Boss probably did.
None of them expected a Governor will come and be working with Kwara money as Gov. AbdulRahman is doing when he only needs to establish the claim that allocation can not pay salary and be carting the money away..
That will surely not erase everything and anything (that is deceitfully presenting the past leader as a state builder) that has to do with the Saraki political dynasty.
Wahab Oba needed being tutored that the supporters of Gov. AbdulRahman do not see the staged ovation at the Yidi ground as Dr. Bukola being the toast of the people, but understand it as a mere gimmick by Dr. Bukola’s frustrated followers like Wahab, who wants to keep on deceiving both Kwarans and Dr. Bukola that there is hope for the Dynasty to bounce back.
I strongly agree that Dr. Bukola didn’t steal any show at the latest Eid prayer in Ilorin as Wahab put it because, the said ovation was from the same Dr. Bukola’s boys that had failed him twice, and will still fail him the more in the coming days.
As I have said many times, I have no right whatsoever to speak on any arrangement or traditions of Ilorin Yidi Ground or Islamic affairs, but all I know is that all traditions reserve honour for the throne, and Wahab Oba should know that any grievance he or Dr. Bukola his boss has against any development in Yidi ground should be tabled internally before the throne of the Emir, and not on the Social Media.
It is glaring that neither Wahab Oba nor his Boss has any respect for the throne of Emir, or the God the people are expected to go to Yidi Ground to worship, from the insubordination they carried out at that sacred ground and are still celebrating on the social media!!!
The excuse given by Wahab Oba (to justify Sarakites’ turning Yidi prayer ground and the greatly referred Ileya gathering to a Political Campaign Avenue) is that, because Saraki’s supporters and others recognized Saraki’s maturity that made them openly applaud him is not only ridiculous but it presents Kwara worshippers as politicians’ boot-lickers.
*Any forward-thinking personality would realize that Dr Bukola Saraki (CON) deliberately stood up to leave before the paramount Emir finished his speech because he knew people would rise up and be leaving immediately after the Emir finishes talking, and the general movement would not allow people to notice the hailing of him by his supporters, as was already pre-planned* ‘The wise should ordinarily sees through the scheme of the wise’
Wahab Oba should do Kwara, and Ilorin people especially a favour by telling the world that those cheering Dr. Bukola on were his political bootlickers, using the holy gathering for his political image laundering but stop presenting all Kwarans as Dr. Bukola boot-lickers
That Wahab Oba asked if ‘… anyone (can) cover the moon’ explains better the the naivety he is displaying on issue of tradition or religion, understandably -he won’t understand that the period of darkness is over in Kwara, while the Dr. Bukola’s moon he is referring to will not ordinarily be visible under this shining Sun of Gov. AbdulRahman.
The statement that ‘Dr. Bukola could have insisted on his right as the Waziri Ngeri to sit with his appointor’ last year as a bonafide son of Ilorin to attend the Eid prayer is not discrediting the Governor as Wahab Oba wanted, but rather showing the kind of regard he or his Boss have for the tradition to stool he laid claim to and his appointor.
That Wahab is publishing this will ordinarily be seen as an insult on the stool by those who really know the honour the traditional stool demands from the subjects and can only be done by reckless politicians that see traditions, religions or developments as a tool to use for their greedy political ambition.
Being in number three, two or one in any political office is really an honour, but a well-bred traditionalist will know that such an honour should be laid aside when one is in a religion or tradition-related gathering.
Wahab Oba must have misplaced the usage of that Yoruba adage, “Omo onilu, onife otu”_ because no Omo Onilu would rise to go when he knew his followers would cause commotion by toeing his footsteps, when any King is talking, not to talk of the Great Monarch, Emir of Ilorin’s status as Dr. Bukola did.
Even if the rumour of being a settler from the western part is true about anyone, the tradition of Yoruba of the West should be reflecting in the conduct of such a person.
Wahab should have taken the microphone and be campaigning in the Yidi ground, instead of using the Ileya Prayer event to continue the rhetoric tale of the N17.8b Kwara Hotel saga, which they were advised to wait and see the finished work before contracting their NGO arms to use Social Auditing to confirm the authenticity and cost implications of the job with the quoted cost.
One cannot stop wondering how an aide of Maigida that was paid N3bn monthly state allocation, and could not fully and successfully pay N18,000 minimum wage, whereas Gov. AbdulRahman used the same allocation to pay the N30,000 minimum wage. Or a follower of Dr. Bukola who collected a bond of N17bn to construct a flyover whose actual cost was alleged to be N600m will be talking about the balance, and accountability of the N27.9b bond after seeing the work done so far, and still being done in Kwara today.
Bringing out talks of the reckless demolition of the means of livelihood of some people who knew they were selling their wares on the wrong site- and expecting such a move- and were still compensated, or talking about non-commensurate compensation when those who were compensated knows the rule they broke calls for sanctions instead, shows Wahab as a merely frustrated media-handler of a sinking politician.
If anyone can say ‘the citizens of Ilorin, nay Kwara in its entirety, have seen the reality of lies that is the life of the AA government’ in these five years with the drastic change in the fortune of the workers, and the changing faces of different and various corners and angles of the state done with the allocation the governor that Wahab Oba served as his CPS claimed cannot even pay N18,000 minimum wage, and considering the news filtering in that some state that claimed they cannot pay as Maigida said in 2019 are yet to implement or just implementing the N30,000 minimum wage now shows how shameless the followers of the fallen Dynasty are.
Laying allegations of insensitivity on the part of the Governor that approved a social support grant to the sums of tens of billions to more than one hundred thousand citizens in the sum of N50,000-N250,000 in the length of six months is but trade of lies on the $part of Wahab Oba.
Hyping the allegation of the executive rascality, and the governor’s spending the best part of his official days in Abuja attending to issues that have no bearing on Kwara, when contractors are still working without resting in all parts of the state, tells what Dr. Bukola’s aides define as good governance is not the development of Kwara but probably their keeping Kwara’s purse in Saraki’s family hand as it has been from time immemorial.
Still talking of no substantive project to commission in about five years, while driving on the road constructed, SITTING IN A PROJECT completed by the state and local government is but a call for mental checkup.
Wahab expected a governor that removed Kwara from the group of salary payment defaulters, like Zamfara State which both Dr. Bukola and Maigida successfully placed Kwara state along with, to be seen by the people as law breaker, while presenting frustration noise of the PDP members at Yidi Ground as the evidence.
Truly, the wind has blown, and the ass of the chicken has been exposed as Wahab put it since people have now seen the opportunity Saraki and his cohort were supposed to have had to develop Kwara, and they did not, and will find it so difficult not to believe all the allegation of looting the EFCC is making against Dr. Bukola even though the EFCC has failed to establish one.
And also, it is applicable as Yoruba says that until a woman has tried two homes, she rarely understands which is the best husband, according to Wahab; those who were beneficiaries of the probable waste in the past must have now understood the looting they were probably sharing would have to stop if a governor will perform as Gov. Abdulrahman is doing and may be regretting chasing an alleged looters out of Kwara government house.
As I said, the discussion of Durbar should traditionally be limited to the Emirates. While Yoruba traditional dictates disallowed me to speak on such an issue as an external figure, I however rejoice in the fact that ‘another clarion call on senior citizens of the Emirate, respected scholars and non-partisan Mallams to call the governor to order’ is made to respectable and honourable people who are able and capable to address it, by Wahab, therefore, demands no comment from me.
We, as Gov. AbdulRahman Supporters understand that the nationwide hardship is biting hard on Kwarans too, and won’t shy away from the fact that people are expecting the APC-led government to have overcome it, but we also know that the people with deep knowledge and understanding knows that this situation is beyond Gov. AbdulRahman and are all seeing his valiant effort to judiciously avert or completely put a stop to the pressing crisis.
Everyone knows that it would have been a hot hell if the stooges of the Dynasty were still the ones in government, since the workers would still be collecting the gerigedi of N18,000 minimum wage till date. Or how do you foresee a government that couldn’t pay N18,000 from N3bn allocation with the excuses that it is not enough be found paying N30,000 minimum wage from the same amount?
But the earlier the supporters of Dr. Bukola realises that Kwarans are no longer fools that would consider going back to the Saraki Dynasty’s rule no matter how much they polish their fallen leader or discredit Gov. Abdulrahman whose ongoing con-current works they may not like, but knows it is still hundreds of miles away from the evil rule of the Dynasty, the better they face the realities that Kwarans are not accepting Dr. Bukola’s rule again.
Just passing by…
