The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kwara State on Job Creation, Barr. Aliyu Alhassan launched an economic support program for rural dwellers in his hometown- Lafiagi with distribution of equipment for women artisans to support their trade.
The Governor’s aide delivered various vocational tools including sewing machines, washing machines and grinding machines to various small business owners in Lafiagi communities.
Alhassan advised the beneficiaries to put the equipment he donated to the best of use and improve the scale of their businesses.
In his discussion with the beneficiaries, he reaffirmed the commitment of the Administration of the Govenor of Kwara State, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on improving the livelihood of all Kwarans through his developmental projects, policies and programs.
The Governor’s Aide stated that his donation of equipment to rural women is a personal intervention aimed at complementing the giant strides of Governor. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to tackle poverty and encourage enterprise.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Fatima Mohammed, expressed appreciation to the Governor’s aide, while encouraging him to continue to care for his people.
In his remark, the Coordinator of the Program, Mr. Adam Nagun assured that the program will continue to support women and youth artisans in the community through various interventions from time to time.
