Today is a special occasion, it is the anniversary of our book’s presentation – Daughter of a Thousand Fathers, published by myself and my dearest wife. It was a remarkable literary adventure of love, passion, sacrifice and collaboration.
Firstly, our heartfelt appreciation goes to HE Toyin Ojora-Saraki for her inspiring and thoughtful foreword, setting and creating a remarkable tone which added depth and meaning for our dear readers. We are also grateful to her husband, HE Abubakar Bukola Saraki, President of the 8th Senate, for identifying with us and our book.
We remain eternally grateful to the President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi, for his rich and insightful review. His critique of the manuscript made our work easier and better, as well as his motivation and words of encouragement during the period.
We also sincerely appreciate Dr. Emmanuel Oladesu of The Nation Newspaper and our dear father, Mr. Yusuf Yinusa Obadagbagbe who made great efforts to read and edit the book. The efforts of Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye towards making the book a better read is forever appreciated.
