Dr. Alabi alongside the Permanent Secretary, Project Consultants, and other relevant stakeholders expressed their displeasure at the slow pace with which the contractor is handling the projects, especially the Osi Satellite Campus.

The Commissioner further directed the contractor in charge to swift into action immediately and ensure speedy and qualitative progress on the project, in order to justify the confidence reposed in the construction firm and the huge investment/funds this administration has committed despite the dwindling Federal allocations.

He however, described His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as an uncommon Governor who believes in continuity of Government by retaining same contractor put in place by the previous administration.

He also urged the Contactor to advance on the pace of work in order to bring the project to reality, considering expectations from the Stakeholders and to further add to the unprecedented achievements of the God-given Governor, Mallam Abdurahman Abdulrazak in education as well as other sectors in Kwara State.

The Permanent Secretary, Hajia Sidikat Bola Alaya in her remarks praised the Governor for the priority attention placed on education and implored the contractor to deliver quality job on both Campuses, considering the huge financial commitment of the state government on the project.

Responding, the Project Manager and lead Consultant, Arc. Jimoh Faworaja said the objective of interfacing with the contractor is to emphasize the need for strict professionalism.

Having tested all the samples supplied by the contractor, Arc. Faworaja expressed satisfaction on the usage of quality construction materials.

He assured the Commissioner that his team would put all hands on deck to ensure that quality job is delivered.

Also speaking, the Director of Project, Unicontinental Construction Company, Mr. Tunji Folami assured the visiting team that the two projects at Osi and Ilesha-Baruba would be delivered as scheduled.

He appreciated the state government for embarking on such laudable project, assuring that his team would not compromise standard on the two projects.

The Commissioner and his team had earlier paid homage to the traditional rulers of Osi and Ilesha-Baruba in their respective palaces, where the Monarchs applauded the giant strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and pledged their unflinching support to his second term bid.
