The OKE-ERO CONCERNED YOUTHS have raised alarm over plots by some people to impose candidates on residents in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The group frowned at such a plot, which it said will be rejected by all means in the interest of the people of Oke-ero.
A statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Ẹbùn Oladele expressed dismay at the plan by those it called political jobbers to impose candidates on the people for their selfish interest.
The youth group said the political space should be left open for all aspirants and that the most popular candidate should represent the people in a fair contest.
The statement said, “it is unimaginable that a group of people will attempt to subvert the will of the people by finding all means to impose candidates on the people.
“This is Oke-ero and we’ll never allow such at this point in time. Let’s make it clear at this juncture that we embrace democracy at best and will want it to remain so.
We are ready to elect for a better representation, no cause for alarm appointing a rascal from the view of consensus arrangement.

The youth group also chided the political actors behind the plot, warning them to desist or face the wrath of Oke-ero youths.
The Oke-ero youths also charged it’s electorates to be vigilant and resist any attempt by intruders to impose their stooge on them, in a bid to take control of the fortunes of the people.
