The Senator representing Kwara Central, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has felicitated Christians as they mark this year’s Easter season, enjoining them to imbibe the virtues of righteousness, tolerance, love, and unity as catalysts to socio-economic development and peaceful co-existence in the country.
The lawmaker, in his Easter message, stressed the need to eschew divisive tendencies, calling on the faithful to use the period to pray for the continued peace and stability of the state as well as the country in general.
“On this occasion of Easter celebration, I want to enjoin our Christian brothers and sisters to renew our commitment to fundamental values of love, tolerance, and unity to collectively cast aside the challenges that pose threat to our peaceful co-existence.
” This is a season when we should pause and reflect on our individual and collective roles towards entrenching the atmosphere of tranquillity to sustain the stability and security being enjoyed in the state.”
While wishing the Christians a joyous Easter celebration, Sen. Oloriegbe urged them to remain fervent in their prayers for the state and Nigeria at large, to surmount the security challenges bedevilling the country.
