Dorcas Owoeye, ELEVEN-year-old with skeletal dysplasia needs N2 million for surgery.
Skeletal dysplasia is a rare genetic disorder affecting the bones and joints. It hinders children’s growth and development.
Miss Owoeye’s bone development and cartilage growth did not take the route children of her age took and requires multiple surgeries to correct the deformities in her limbs.
Consultant Orthodontist at the Surgeon Arthroplasty Unit in Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital at Ile-Ife in Osun State Dr. O. Esan urged Nigerians of goodwill to help Dorcas.
The patient is being managed by our unit for multiple skeletal dysplasia. She will require multiple surgeries (four) to correct the deformities in her limbs,” he said.
Owoeye appealed for assistance.
