Empowerment: Shagaya Foundation supports 500 Kwarans with cash benefits

A frontline philanthropist movement, Salman Shagaya Foundation during the weekend gave relief cash to about five hundred residents of Ilorin West and Asa local government area of Kwara State.

Addressing journalists on behalf of the foundation, Muktar Shagaya said the Initiative is to contribute their quota to the welfare of citizens in distress by donating relief cash and other forms of comfort to ameliorate poverty in the state.

He maintained that government alone can not shoulder the responsibility of catering to the needs of the less privileged people.

Also speaking at the event, Commissioner for Tertiary Education in the State, Barr Senior Ibrahim commended the foundation for its Initiative, while he urged other well-meaning Kwarans to emulate the good gesture.

In their address, beneficiaries who spoke on different stands praised the Salman Shagaya Foundation for its foresight in creating a relief money scheme to cater to the needs of the vulnerable.

APC Chairman Ilorin West LG, Hon Sulaimon Tejidini; SA political to Governor Abdulrazaq (Kwara Central), Prince Sulaimon, Abdulwahab Temidire, Comrade Ahmed Lukman amongst others graced the empowerment program.
