The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has emphasized staff welfare and security as key priorities during his inaugural meeting with the Local Government Staff on Monday.
Addressing the staff, Chairman Femi Yusuf emphasized that ensuring the safety of Local Government employees, especially those in health services, would be a key focus.
“We are here to make a difference. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has given us the mandate to make our land unsafe for bad elements. He has been working tirelessly to reduce the attacks on our people to zero,” the Chairman remarked.
His administration, he added, would leave no stone unturned in safeguarding the lives of public servants within the area.
Highlighting his commitment to staff welfare, Hadji Femi Yusuf said, “The welfare of the staff is a priority. We understand the dedication of our local government workers in ensuring the development of our communities. We will schedule training and retraining for staff, settle entitlements, allowances, and provide everything necessary to ensure a conducive working environment. Truancy will not be tolerated, and everyone is expected to attend work daily.” He also mentioned plans to invest in agriculture, stating, “We will purchase more tractors to ease farming and ensure food security, which will also boost our economy.”
The NULGE Chairman, Comrade Sunday, assured the Executive Chairman of their unwavering support in driving progress within the Local Government. “We fully support your mission and will stand by you to achieve greatness for our Local Government,” he affirmed.
