••• Founded by Kwara Born, Ameen Abdulrazaq to continue his mother’s legacy of compassion and generosity.

A new non-governmental organization, The Fatima Bolanle Abioye Foundation (FBA Foundation), has launched its activities in Nigeria.

The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through educational empowerment and humanitarian aid in Nigeria.

Named after Alhaja Fatima Bolanle Abioye, whose lifelong commitment to helping others despite limited resources has inspired this initiative, the Foundation aims to create a Nigeria where every youth has access to quality education and where socioeconomic barriers no longer determine one’s future potential.

According to the Executive Founder of the Foundation, Ameen Abdulrazaq, the launch of the Foundation is in honor of his mother, Alhaja Fatima Bolanle Abioye, aligning with her long-term dream to serve humanity and provide succor for the needy.

“As a young boy who grew up in a religious and modest home, my mother always charges us that the essence of truly living a life of value is to live for others, selflessly,” Ameen said.

“It wasn’t a difficult decision for me to come up with naming the Foundation after my mother because it resonates with her doctrine and values she always embedded ever since my childhood. This foundation is established to continue her legacy of compassion and generosity.” He added.

Ameen noted that the Foundation has partnered with a UK-based tech giant company, Topteam Technologies Ltd, to provide scholarships for indigenous students in Nigeria, starting from Kwara State.

He added that the scholarship will cover over 65% of the training cost for selected students.

Additionally, the Foundation will offer 100% scholarships worth N10 million to exceptional students who otherwise may not be able to afford such training, He said.

“In the new year, we will also be reaching out to schools to support exceptional students with payment for exams in Ilorin and environs like WAEC and NECO, then outreach to less privileged during Ramadan,” Ameen added.

Speaking with our correspondent, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Alhaja Fatima Bolanle Abioye, expressed her delight at the launch of the Foundation, saying it is a fulfillment of her dreams to own an organization dedicated to helping people.

“I am deeply happy to fulfill my dreams of owning an organization that is dedicated to helping people. Also, it is the wish of every parent to reap the fruit of their labor, so my son establishing this foundation in my name is a blessing to me.” said Alhaja Fatima.

“Just like my dreams, the organization aims to reach out to the needy, widows, students who can’t afford to pay their school fees and basically just put a smile on people’s faces.” She said.

In the next five years, I hope and pray that the FBA Foundation will be a household name in Nigeria and globally, she added.

Our medium reports that the Foundation’s vision statement is to create a Nigeria where every youth has access to quality education and where socioeconomic barriers no longer determine one’s future potential.
