The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Wardiere Oakmount Development Houston Texas and Abuja Nigeria, have joined forces to empower 4000 farmers within the Federal Capital Territory.

In a scheme tagged “Operation Feed the Nation”, the real estate firm and the ministry have resolved to provide seedlings and farmlands for the 4000 registered farmers to plant Cashew, Cocoa, Maize, Malaysian palm trees, Rice Millet, Yam, Beans among others in Kuje area of Abuja.

This, according to the partners, was to further enhance President Bola Tinubu’s effort at ensuring food sufficiency and ensuring Nigeria could feed itself without any external interference.

This was contained in a statement personally signed by the Chairman of Wardiere Oakmount, Kunle Ilori, and made available to journalists on Friday.

The Chairman of Wardiere Oakmount, said the development was part of the company’s effort at supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration and empowering the needy among Nigeria farmers across the country.

Ilori said it is the wish of the company to impact 25 thousand lives across different low-earning groups across the country and this farmers’ support initiative is first among others yet to come.

“My joy knows no bounds with the commencement of this initiative with the help of the forward-looking government of President Bola Tinubu, to create an enabling environment and provide seedlings for farmers to plant and contribute to the effort of the government to ensure Nigeria is self-sufficient in food.

“Just like the spirit of God was ministering to me since last year for us to look for an effective way to contribute to the lives of the needy in Nigeria.

Yes, the government is trying and doing everything possible to make Nigeria great again but individuals too must be able to help in every little way we can, just like Wardiere Oakmount is doing now.”

The Chairman also appreciated the President for being dynamic in his approaches to national issues, saying his fearless attitude is needed for the country to grow earnestly.

He also called the attention of the government to the recent Cbex scam, saying to guide against the resurgence of such Ponzi schemes in the country, Nigerians should be enlightened on what to look out for before investing their money in any business.

“Mr President, I must thank you for your fearlessness and commitment to resolve the many issues confronting Nigerians. It has also come to my attention that a fortune was lost to a large-scale scam tagged Cbex recently.

While I commiserate with the victims, I also thought of the need for the National Orientation Agency to up its game and tell people where to put their money.”He also called on young Nigerians to invest in real estate, saying, “That is the only business I know where you can have 100 per cent ROI.”
