Yesterday, 6th of April 2025, Hon. Muka Ray Eyiwumi, Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Culture and Tourism Development, spearheaded the distribution of food items and relief materials to residents of Aran-Orin, his home ward in Irepodun Local Government Area.
The well-attended event drew a large number of beneficiaries from across the community, with foodstuffs and essential relief packages aimed at alleviating economic hardship and supporting families. The initiative, described by many as timely and impactful, aligns with the commitment of Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to grassroots development and welfare.
Addressing the crowd, Hon. Muka Ray reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to community upliftment. “This is home for me,” he stated. “As someone from Aran-Orin, I understand the realities our people face daily.
This intervention is not just about providing food but about standing with my people and ensuring that no one is left behind. I must commend our Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his consistent support towards initiatives like this that touch the lives of our people directly.”
Speaking to pressmen at the event, Hon. Muka Ray shared insights into his motivation for organizing the outreach. “I believe that leadership is about impact. The motivation for this program stems from my desire to give back to my roots and complement the Governor’s efforts in making life better for our people. What drives me is the joy of seeing my people smile and the knowledge that these little efforts can make significant differences in their daily lives,” he said.
Beneficiaries, who were visibly grateful, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture. Mrs. Afolabi, one of the recipients, praised Hon. Muka Ray and the Kwara State Governor for their thoughtful intervention. “I am so happy today,” she said with emotion. “This is a great relief for me and my family. We thank Hon.
