The newly elected member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, representing Ilorin South Constituency and the Kwara House of Assembly Deputy Chief Whip, Hajia Maryam Aladi organized an inauguration party to celebrate her swearing-in ceremony.

The inauguration party, held at Arca Santa Event Hall, in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state, invited significant people, supporters, well-wishers, and fellow politicians.

While Sheikh Sohibu Bayan was giving a sermon at the event, appreciated the attendees for the love and support showered on the Hon Maryam, adding emphasized the vital roles that the good leader should embrace. He reminded Hon Maryam not to forget the challenges and pains being faced by the people of the community and pleaded to her to focus on the needed things to get it eradicated.

He further called on her to prioritize public service and work assiduously to fulfil the promises made to the people of her constituents and Kwara State at large.

“Islamic principles encouraged us to be justice, compassion, and accountability wherever we met ourselves, calling upon her to take a drastic action in uplifting the community”, he said.

Hon Maryam addressed Ilorin Southerners, Kwarans, Friends and well-wishers expressing her sincere appreciation for their sustained support and seeking prayers for a successful tenure ahead.

“It is with great gratitude to almighty Allah that I address you all today in my inaugural speech as a member representing Ilorin South State constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.

Today marks a major milestone in the annual of our constituency’s history as Ilorin South has produced her first female legislator in the constituency’s history.
