During the meeting, Director-General Mr. Akeem Olomigbono praised Gadaff for his remarkable dedication and uncommon loyalty to their shared vision. He highlighted Gadaff’s exceptional leadership qualities that have been instrumental in their successes.

Gadaff, while addressing the group, conveyed a message of optimism and hope. He assured them that their hard work would yield positive results and that better days were ahead. He also took the opportunity to update the attendees on the commendable achievements of his principal, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

He emphasized the governor’s unwavering commitment to good governance in Kwara State, particularly in empowering and supporting young people. Governor Abdulrasaq has recognized the potential of young individuals in driving development and has implemented various policies and programs aimed at achieving this.

One such initiative is the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), which focuses on poverty alleviation, job creation, and the empowerment of youth and women. Under KWASSIP, interest-free loans and grants have been provided to young entrepreneurs to establish and expand their businesses, resulting in self-employment and contributions to the state’s development.

The governor’s administration has also established a vocational and technical college offering training in various skills, including welding, carpentry, and plumbing. This college aims to equip young people with the skills necessary for self-employment and active participation in the state’s economy.

Governor Abdulrasaq’s commitment extends to sports development, with investments in sports facilities and programs to promote talent development. Local football clubs, including Kwara United FC, have received support, and young athletes have been assisted in competing at national and international levels.

Additionally, the governor has created opportunities for youth involvement in governance through the establishment of a youth advisory council. This platform allows young people to provide input and contribute to policy formulation and implementation in the state.

In conclusion, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq’s commitment to good governance in Kwara State extends to investing in young people. Through various programs and policies designed to empower and support them, the governor has provided opportunities for youth to actively contribute to the state’s development.
