Yesterday, a Ramadan lecture convened at Gidan Waziri Gobiri in Ilorin, orchestrated by Mallam Sulayman Bolaji Gobir, the initiator of Gbajumo Ilorin Hangout.

The primary objective of the event was to unite Ilorin’s youth for noble endeavors during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The session featured enlightening talks by two esteemed Islamic scholars, Sheikh Abdulwasiu Waliyullahi Jaqmal and Maulana Sheikh Foreign.

Maulana Sheikh Foreign delivered a poignant discourse on the virtues of honesty, humility, empathy, and kindness. He emphasized the significance of truthfulness, particularly esteemed by Allah and the Prophet Muhammad, especially in Ramadan. Maulana also encouraged attendees to embrace humility, express gratitude for their blessings, and refrain from comparisons.

Sheikh Abdulwasiu Waliyullahi Jaqmal, in his inspiring address, urged participants to cherish the Night of Qadr, highlighting its profound significance as depicted in the Quran and Hadith. He underscored the transformative power of Quranic recitation during Ramadan, emphasizing its spiritual rewards.

In his closing remarks, Sheikh Abdulwasiu stressed the paramount importance of honoring and caring for one’s parents, emphasizing their pivotal role in shaping our lives.
