GSS Ballah Old Students Association elects new executives

Earlier Yesterday, dated 23rd December 2023, an Old Students Association of Government Secondary School, Ballah held her 2023 National Election at Queen Elizabeth School Hall, Ilorin the Kwara State capital.

The election was conducted by the electoral committee appointed by the members of the association led by Mallam Abdulrauf Abdulsalam, the Chairman of the committee with the sole aim of conducting a free, fair, transparent and successful election.

The event features numerous programs including an introduction done by each member of the association, calling of aspirants’ names and their positions, voting process and lots more.

The electoral committee’s chairman, Mallam Abdulrauf Abdulsalam explained in an interview with the Prudent Watch correspondent how they started planning the conduct of the election ever since they were appointed in September 2023, adding that it wasn’t an easy task if not for the cooperation and assiduous work of the 7 persons electoral committee set up.

“I am delighted and grateful for the successful conduction of the election and praised the maximum cooperation and support of all members of the association presence and absence here today, praying may the blessing of God be upon everyone,” he prayed.

He further commended the enormous efforts of people who supported this program morally and financially in order to come true. May God keep elevating you all.

“I urge the newly emerged executives to emulate good behavior and techniques used by the outgoing excos in piloting the affairs of the association for the next two years, and wished them successful tenure” the outgoing president advised in an interview.

Mallam Baba-Alaro Shuaib, the newly elected president in an interview appreciated all members of the association for trusting and voting me, promising not to let them down.

He further charged members of the association in an interview to let’s them work together in accomplishing an unexpected goals, adding reiterated that team work is very vital, that they should not think they are not exco and not contribute to progress of the association. “We are all doing it together,” he added.

However, the result of the election and certificates were presented to the elected executives.
