Earlier yesterday, Gambari Youth Descendant Progressive Union held her first general prayer at Balogun Gambari IGEA school Awodi, Ilorin aiming for the upliftment of the association and the whole community at large.

The event thereby graced by various great personalities of Gambari community including the experts and well experienced people to the table of discussion.

In attendance are different charismatic people which are, the special Guest of honour, Alhaji Abdullah Yusuf Olohunlalaaro; The Guest lecturer, Shaikh Issa Solihu El-Gambari; Special Guest of Honour, Alhaji AbdulRasaq Yusuf; Commander, Alhaji AbdulKareem Oleshin and other notable personalities.

Alhaji Olohunlalaaro in his speech called the whole Gambari Youth Descendant progressive Union to support the less privilege in other to divert the attention of youth from crime and build a peaceful society.

He further said “If you want your mission and vision to be accomplished, try to encourage the people of the community to learn both western and Arabic education, saying when the both knowledge is in human soul, it will be a guidance for such person in the society.

“The involvement in any form of entrepreneurship skills that will serve as source of income because Ilorin is one of the most developed city in terms of economic in Nigeria which Gambari is the center of trade where everyone from different part of the nation gathered to sell and buying goods” he said.

The Guest lecturer, Sheikh Issa Solihu El-Gambari preached to let unity and love reign among members of the association.

Sheikh Issa said, GYDPU is not a secret cult association but a progressive Union and urged the Union members to always use their life for something that’ll favour the association, Gambari, Ilorin and Nigeria at large.
