The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has received an Ethical Leadership and Conduct Compliance Award from the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation.
During the presentation on Friday at the Chairman’s Contact Office, the Executive Director of the Centre, Ethicist Salihu Musa Yakubu, stated that the award was in recognition of the Chairman’s stance against corruption and his ethical leadership style.
“We have deployed several personnel to your Local Government for on-the-spot assessments to properly document the activities of your administration. We also circulated questionnaires for residents to evaluate your conduct and governance. We are here to inform you that you are ranked among the best ten Chairmen in Kwara and listed among the top 100 most ethically upright and corruption-free Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria.
“You have worked closely with your management team to promote citizens’ wellbeing, demonstrate effective and innovative leadership, uphold National interest, and maintain ethical uprightness and personal integrity,” he said.
He further stated that the Chairman’s commitment aligns with the mission of the Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in building a better Kwara through infrastructural development, accountability, and transparency, adding that the state has become a model for its citizens.
In his response, the Chairman appreciated the Centre for its efforts and dedication to ensuring that Nigeria and its public servants remain focused on building a nation everyone can be proud of.
He described the award as a practical reflection of his leadership approach and pledged to continue making the youth constituency proud.
