The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Dr Muhd Bashir Saliu OON, describing the loss as a painful moment for the Ilorin Emirate and the entire Muslim community in Kwara State.

The Chairman noted that the late Chief Imam was more than a religious leader, but a father figure whose life was devoted to faith, peace, and moral guidance.

He said the Chief Imam’s teachings and exemplary conduct helped shape generations, promoting unity, tolerance, and understanding among people of different backgrounds.

The Chairman prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the departed, grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comforts the Ilorin Emirate, the family, and the entire Muslim Ummah during this difficult time
