Hadji Femi Yusuf Hosts Special Get-Together for Political Wigs in Kwara South

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, played host to Local Government Chairmen in Kwara State, members of the Kwara State House of Assembly from Kwara South, and APC stakeholders in Ifelodun at a special get-together held in Gaa Oke, Igbaja on Sunday.

The gathering aligns with the collective mission to spread the message of good governance under the leadership of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, across the entire Kwara South Senatorial District.

Hadji Femi Yusuf described the meeting as a platform for building synergy among lawmakers and Local Government Chairmen in the region, with the shared goal of working together for progress.

“This kind of engagement hasn’t happened before. We came together to share the good works of Governor AbdulRazaq with our people and to further strengthen the unity of our party, APC, across all levels. It’s about creating balance in both governance and politics,” he said.

The Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ojo Oyebode Olayiwola, shared that the meeting which had previously held in Oyun and Ekiti is designed to bring governance closer to the people, to inform party faithful and the general public of the Governor’s efforts in meeting community needs. He explained that while lawmakers focus on policies that make life easier, the Chairmen are key to decisions around infrastructure, healthcare, and agriculture.

Former Ifelodun LG Chairman, Hon. Hassan Garuba, appreciated the Governor for the construction of Ajase-Ipo to Okeiya road project and appealed for its extension to Babanla to support market accessibility and boost local economy. He also described the Chairman’s 12.5 km grading project from Idofian to Igbaja as impactful and a major step toward community development.

 

Hon. Elizabeth Olabimpe, Commissioner II at the Kwara State Local Government Commission, commended the Governor’s commitment to gender inclusion, acknowledging how women have been given space and responsibility in governance, leadership, and community-building.

The APC Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Arc Abubakar Lukman, called for continued unity within the party.

He affirmed that APC has delivered meaningful progress in Kwara and Nigeria, adding that positive direction under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
