The All Progressive Congress aspirant seeking to represent Edu/ Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency ofKwara State at the House of Representatives has been arrested for alleged forgery, perjury and other related offences.

He was arrested by the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB) in the early hours of Wednesday at his hideout in Tamara Hotel, Zone 3, Abuja.

Reacting to news of his arrest, the Ahmed Saba media team denied that he was arrested.

The said Saba only honoured invitation of the anti-crime body.

The statemnet read, “Earlier to today Hon. Dr Ahmed Saba visited the FIB Abuja to clarify certain issues, contrary to speculations flying around Ahmed Saba is not arrested and had since returned home.

“Hon. Dr Ahmed Saba as a responsible citizen, on his own volition approached the FIB to clarify all issues they might want to raise with him.

“Hon. Saba answered questions from the bureau and assure the bureau that he has nothing to hide and will always make himself available to clear all issues requiring his attention.

“Dr. Saba enjoin his teeming supporters and wishers to keep calm while thanking them for their support and prayers always.”
