The students and teachers of Government Day Secondary School, Okuta, in Baruten LGA, have hailed the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Legislative Budget and Research and MHR representing Baruten/Kaiama Federal Constituency, for his visionary political leadership in facilitating the construction of a block of six classrooms and provision of essential furniture.

This significant intervention, part of Hon. Bio’s Intervention in Education Initiative launched in 2019, aims to redefine and improve the quality of learning for academic excellence. The project’s completion in GDSS coincides with the first term resumption of the 2024/2025 academic session, providing a conducive learning and teaching atmosphere for students and teachers.

The principal, Alh. Muhammed Musa Yaru and teachers of the beneficiary school, praised Hon. Bio’s intervention, highlighting its positive impact on the education sector across the constituency. They commended the project’s model, addressing shortages of classrooms and furnitures.

Students, including Senior Prefect, Usman Aliyu and the Head Girl, Ashiru Zainab, expressed their gratitude, noting that the project and furnitures will boost their learning abilities and make learning more interesting and exciting.

While teachers and students of the Government Day Secondary School, Okuta, are still jubilating over the completion of the landmark project, the community leaders, residents, teachers, and students of Tabera, Ilesha-Baruba, and Okuta communities are also not hiding their excitement and praises on Hon. Bio for facilitating life-changing educational projects to their communities. These projects are;

– A state-of-the-art WAEC/NECO Examinations Hall at Government Secondary School, Ilesha-Baruba, to meet global standards for the purpose of ensuring conducive atmosphere for examinations.
