Urges Him To Allow Gov AbdulRazaq to Have input in the Selection Processes.
Honorable BT AbdulRahman Alabi Ajidagba who is Kwara APC Stalwart, pride of Ilorin West, philanthropist, peace ambassador, human capital developer, and magnanimous human being has urged His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to put right pegs on right holes. He further urged President to honor (NGF) Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) with Kwara appointments to fix the right people who worked tirelessly for the success of this administration at the state and national levels.
In his statement;
“I want to once again congratulate Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over victories in the presidential primary and general election for his strong steps taken against oppositions and saboteurs who believed Governor AbdulRazaq would not return as Governor of Kwara State, believing His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will not deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), on Feb. 25 general election, alhamdulillah cobalamin. Most of these saboteurs were former political office holders and cabinet members during President Muhammad Buhari’s regime. Your Excellency sir, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, these people believed they have connections with you in one way or another other but they worked against you and APC in Kwara State except Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and his loyalists who worked tirelessly for the success we are enjoying today.
Your Excellency sir, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I want to once again congratulate you for the transformation done so far, especially on fuel subsidy removal, student loan bills, CBN restructuring, the appointment of Special advisers, and many other life-changing decisions made so far. To your advisers, I wish them well. pray they will perform and they will do excellently in discharging their respective duties. Your Excellency sir, please put square pegs in square holes and round pegs in round holes of the same size. His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) has capable hands at all levels, who are up to the task, highly experienced, and professionals in different fields, specializations, and professions
My general opinion sir, ignore ethnicity and chauvinism as your knowledge as a man with a passion for everyone. Your Excellency, give responsibilities to people who can perform and not because they are from one ethnic group or the other. The idea of choosing people, because they are from a particular area rather than competence, should be jettisoned. Once the government continues doing that, things will not change. But when you pick competent people, irrespective of their ethnic and religious affiliations, things will change positively in Nigeria. With these Renew Hope is assured. Whether for a minister, ambassador, or head of parastatals, please put the right people there.
When you give somebody a job to perform, give the person a time lag. Since you have four years, if within six months you did not see good performance, remove the person and put in another person. Many people are waiting for the job. Please do not use emotions, statism, and other primordial instincts. Use the right people. You may not get the right people the first time but when the person is delivering, give them the objective and what they should do, and what you are expecting from them. If after, four months, or six months, you are not seeing the results you desire, remove him and put someone else there. There are many people with capacity.
In the energy sector, what should he do differently?
In the energy sector, former President Muhammadu Buhari approved the amended act of the National Assembly taking off the generation and distribution of power from the exclusive list such that states and individuals with competence can now generate, distribute, sell power, and make their money. This is very good. There must be allowance for private power and they should be encouraged by making it easy for the sincere ones among them to access finance for them to do the work they planned to do. And we thank God that Your Excellency has signed the electricity bill into law. This is a plus for Nigeria and Nigerians.
Some stakeholders believe some aspects of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) are not clear enough to give direction in the oil and gas sector of the country. There are blind spots in the PIA that should be clarified. There are overlapping provisions. Some provisions are there that were not the original intent of the designers of the PIA. They changed drastically. I am happy that former President Muhammadu Buhari, at least, signed it into law, after over 20 years of trying to pass the bill. It is cheering that somebody finally did it. We give glory to God! But having done that, they can improve on it. For example, the blind spot is where you have the downstream in charge of the terminal. Terminal operation is an upstream business because from there you do a back calculation to the reservoir which affects you and when you take that out of the upstream, virtually they cannot do all the calculations they want to do, to be able to manage the reservoir properly. You need to do all those back calculations. Again, downstream took it. We thank God that the subsidy is gone.
Also, I want to implore President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make gas utilization encouraged. Nigeria is said to be a gas province but in reality, there is no direct exploitation for gas because it is not easy to store and it is a contract business. So, gas business through the exploration from upstream, midstream to downstream.
All in all, several sectors need to be improved like IPPIS which we thank God that job racketeers through IPPIS are under suspension both in state and federal.
Your Excellency sir, please consider this, and may Allah in his infinite mercy continue to guide you on the affairs of this great and giant of Africa, Nigeria ”
