Hon. Kadir Ridwan Olomowewe, Councillor representing Igbaja III Ward in the Ifelodun Legislative Council, has successfully repaired the solar-powered borehole at Durosoto, a rural community in Igbaja III, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The repair of the borehole, which had been non-functional for several months, has brought much-needed relief to the residents of Durosoto, who had previously faced challenges accessing clean and reliable water for their daily needs.

Speaking about the project, Hon. Olomowewe emphasized his commitment to addressing the basic needs of his constituents, highlighting that access to clean water is fundamental to improving their quality of life and this is why he engaged in the project.

“This project is part of my promise to prioritize the welfare of my people. Water is life, and ensuring its availability is non-negotiable,” Hon. Olomowewe stated.

Community members expressed their gratitude for the intervention, stating that the borehole repair has alleviated the burden of going to long distances to fetch water.
