Earlier today, a report signed by Voba Media reached the Prudent Watch of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and federal lawmaker representing Baruten/Kaiama Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Hon. Mohammed Omar Bio, fcpa, iion, has facilitated the procurement and installation of solar street-lights for more communities across the constituency.
The solar street lights initiative which is the fourth (4th) in batches has, so far, covered almost every single community of Baruten and Kaiama LGAs with more batches on the pipeline.
Reacting to the development, the lawmaker noted that the ‘Light-Up Baruten/Kaiama Initiative’ is geared towards illuminating strategic locations to provide security and improve movement of people and commercial activities in beneficiary communities at nights, reiterating his commitment to offering the constituency a representation that is purposeful and impactful.
“Our intention on the initiative is to illuminate strategic locations in some communities to provide security and improve commercial activities at nights, especially to rural communities without power supply (i.e Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN),” Hon. Bio said.
“We are committed to offering purposeful and impactful representation and striving harder to delivering more dividends of democracy to the electorates,” he added.
Residents of beneficiary communities expressed satisfaction over the initiative, stressing that the solar street lights are boosting business activities and patronage at nights as well as serving security purposes.
