Nigeria, a nation rich in history and promise, marks its Independence Day with reverence and celebration. It is with great respect and admiration that we remember the inestimable sacrifices of our past heroes and heroines, those who paved the path to our freedom.
The journey of Nigeria from a British protectorate in 1901 to gaining independence in 1960 was marked by struggle and determination. We became a republic in 1963, but challenges persisted, leading to periods of military rule. Yet, through it all, the spirit of our people remained unbroken.
Today, as we come together in happiness and festivity, let us pay tribute to those who elevated Nigeria to its current standing. They placed our nation’s interests above their own, serving as an enduring source of inspiration for us all.
As Nigeria steadily progresses, we acknowledge that there is still much work to be done. Our freedom today is the culmination of years of struggle and sacrifice by those we fondly refer to as heroes and heroines. To them, we offer our heartfelt salute.
Let us honor these valiant souls who sacrificed their lives for future generations. Let the pride of being Nigerian and the beauty of our glorious nation shine brightly in our hearts as we raise our green flag high.
Moreover, as Nigeria marks another year of independence, I extend warm wishes to all Nigerians. Let us remember and celebrate the patriotism of those who made our freedom possible.
On this day, we reflect on the hardships endured and the suffering endured to secure the long-awaited freedom and sovereignty of our nation. We remember and salute them.
To all my fellow compatriots, I wish you a Happy Independence Day. May joy, love, smiles, luck, and peace continue to flourish in our beloved homeland.
I also offer my prayers for divine guidance for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our hardworking Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazak, C.O.N.
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
God bless Kwara State
God bless Asa
