The Kiyoru born who double as the President, Federation of Kwara North Students, Hon Yahaya Mohammed Sabi has shown interest to vie for the position of Chairman in Baruteen Local Government, Kwara State.

Follow the passage of the Newly Kwara State Independence Electoral commission (KWSIEC) by the Kwara State House of Assembly to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the 16 local Government of Kwara State.

Hon Yahaya Mohammed on his Declaration of Ambition statement signed by him categorical states why he’s the best for the position

The statement reads in full

“Dearest People of Baruten Local Government at home and diaspora,

I want to officially announce my ambition to contest for the exalted office of Executive Chairman Baruten Local Government Area and to seek for your support in making this a reality.

I am Hon Yahaya Mohammed SABI born in the early nineties to the families of Mall. Suleiman Yahaya Gakuparu Old kiyoru.

I am a native of Kiyoru, Bwen/Kiyoru ward, Gwanara district, Baruten Local Government, Kwara State.

I had my elementary education at BA-LGEA Primary School, Old Kiyoru, Junior Secondary school (JSS) GBABE, And Government Secondary school Gwanara for my Senior secondary education(2001-2012)

An alumnus of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Oyo, Oyo State and University of Nigeria NSUKKA, where I obtained NCE in English language/Political science and Degree in Political Science Education respectively(2013-2022).

I have been very active in the politics of Kwara State(Studentship and Societal), since the commencement of the current democratic journey as a grassroot foot-soldier, strategist and social mobiliser. My involvement in politics stems from my deep rooted belief in the continuous improvement of mankind.

Served as the assistant Youth leader of Bwen/Kiyoru ward from 2015 till date and other Students structure like; President Federation of Kwara North Students, National Association Of Nigeria students, Director of campuses intervention Zone D, Legislative representative both during NCE and Degree and Auditor general (The English student association), Public relations officer 1 (Political science student association)of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education and many more….

In the course of time and with garnered experiences, I have also learnt Skills acquisition to enable my advancement in creating a technological advancement era.

I learnt Computing and CCTV installment in River State, Certified and verified.

I believe the welfare advancement of people, society and humanity remains the major purpose of government and Hallmark of a public servant.

I possess the vision to deliver our people maximum realization of governance through efficient management of resources in support of what the rulling Dons in power are doing and innovative ways of turning things round on broad-ranged policies to directly impact all the lives of our people.

As a youth and grass rooter in the society and best individual at the moment who can communicate the leaders and relate with them as an intermediary agent, I have adopted Seven major action plan to drive Baruten Local Government forward;

1. Human Capital Development
2. Infrastructure
3. Health
4. Education
5. Agriculture
6. Revenue Generation
7. Security.

My Dear Batuno, I have pledge today, that if elected I would deliver on my key mandate and work on others problem on how to demystify and Solve them.
