ICDA organizes Thanksgiving for new Oludofian, Oba Adedamola

Following the selection of the new Oludofian of Idofian Land, the Idofian Community Development Association (ICDA) had earlier today, dated January 20, 2024, held a Thanksgiving for the successful completion of community rites for the new Oba, (Alhaji) Muh’d Jamiu Olarewaju Adedamola Omikunle II, Ilufemiloye I, the Oludofian of Idofian Land at the Idofian Town Hall in Kwara State.

The Thanksgiving event featured several programs such as entertainment, a poem for the new Oba, a Sermon from a prominent scholar and lots more.

The Chairman of Idofian Community Development Association in his welcoming speech appreciated the presence of all Kwara State Kings, personalities, elders in Idofian and other dignitaries for gracing the thanksgiving ceremony of Omikunle II, Oludofian I, saying their attendance really means a lot to us and prayed may almighty Allah bless and protect them seen and unseen evils.

He further in his speech, prayed for the new king, Omikunle II, Oludofian I that may his tenure be peaceful and full of progress for the people of Idofian and may he live long in the place of his father with sound and good health.

While the new King, (Alhaji) Muh’d Jamiu Olarewaju Adedamola Omikunle II, Ilufemiloye I, the Oludofian of Idofian Land was expressing gratitude for the efforts of the people of Idofian in one way on the other from the genesis till this outstanding program, praying may Allah be with them all.

He further praised His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Kwara State Governor; Engr Kayode Alabi, the deputy governor, Hon Yakubu Salihu Danladi, the Speaker, KWHA, Hon. Abdulahi BATA, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Hon AGF Salahuddeen, Honorable Member Representing Omupo Constituency at the Kwara state House of Assembly and Hon. Jide Asonibare for their support towards achieving this seat.

Shiekh Musa Yahya Agboola, Mudr Daru-l-falah in his sermon said position is not by being powerful but by God’s wishes and if God destined someone to be in a position no one can dare deny such person from being there.

He added that this is Oba, Alhaji Muh’d Jamiu’s time and we should all submit ourselves to him for his tenure to be peaceful for the people of Idofian.

Sheikh Agboola however, prayed for the new King, his executives and the entirety people of Idofian.

In attendance are, Hon. Sulieman Lekan Gadaff, Olusabi or Elerinjare, Alatanda of Atanda, Olu of Falokun Oja, Onigana of Ganmo, Alamoyo of Amoyo and host of others.
