The Honorable Member Representing Omupo State Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon AGF Salahuddeen has on Monday, sued for peace and unity among all the stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
Hon. AGF Salahuddeen stated this at a meeting facilitated by Selected Stakeholders from both Constituencies(Omupo and Share/OkeOde) in the Local Government.
Hon. AGF Salahuddeen commending his counterpart from Share/Oke-Ode State Constituency, Hon. Olatunde Rasaq Owolabi, for committing himself towards the peace process towards ensuring that all Warring tendencies are reconciled for the greater good of Ifelodun Local Government Area as no one is bigger than the party and local government.
While encouraging all the stakeholders present, the Honorable Member noted that, ” It is important that we remain united and give peace a chance no matter the circumstances we have found ourselves as all our targets should be towards the development of our homeland, Ifelodun.”
“I always say that individually, we can go fast but when we are together and united, we will surely go far, very far. That is what we surely need and under no circumstances should we allow any cracks between the multilayer structure of the party in the Local Government.”
Going forward, the Honorable specially thanked the Reconciliatory Group that spared time to compliment the efforts by different groups and the stakeholders to ensure a united Ifelodun Local Government and address the skirmishes that had pervaded the Local Government over the past few months.
While appreciating Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, Hon. AGF Salahuddeen stated that, he remains committed to Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq as the Leader of the party in the state and that it was expedient to thank His Excellency for the quality leadership and also, the consideration for Ifelodun Local Government as regards different developmental projects.
In conclusion, Hon. AGF Salahuddeen sounded a note of warning to party members who are fanning the embers of disunity by orchestrating different sinister and underhand dealings thereby profiting from party crises to desist and embrace unity as posterity exists to judge us all.
