The Ilorin South Constituency women have officially launched the Sardauna Ngeri Ilorin Women Association today in Ilorin, the state capital.

The new association aims to support the government of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq CON, and promote the revered title of Sardauna Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate recently conferred on him by the Emir of Ilorin.

The launch event took place at the Kwara State Banquet Hall, located opposite the Government House in Ilorin. It brought together dignitaries, party stakeholders, traditional rulers, security and health agencies, members of the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA), and residents of the Ilorin Emirate.

Speaking at the event, the Convener and Deputy Chief Whip of KWHA, Hon. Mariam Aladi Yusuf (MAY), praised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq CON for his dedication to the advancement of women in the state.

She described him as “a father for all and a benefactor for all Kwara women,” noting that he has consistently supported women’s empowerment and welfare.

“Governor Abdulrasaq has done so much for the women of Kwara State. His leadership, compassion, and inclusivity deserve our unwavering support,” she said.

The gathering reaffirmed the commitment of Ilorin women to champion the administration’s efforts while preserving the cultural heritage of the Emirate.
