Insecurity: FUG Students Protest over Incessant Kidnapping

The Federal University of Gusau students had taken to the high way leading to their school to protest over the incessant kidnapping of their colleagues in Damba Community and other areas.

A final year student by name Jamiu Abdullahi revealed that while they were still in the sympathy and struggles to regain the freedom of three of their colleagues kidnapped few weeks ago another sad incidence occured this morning.

It was revealed that the unknown armed men broken through the doors of the victims to forcefully take away five and two students at about 2am today in Damba and Sabo Gida communities respectively.

According to Ismail Olarewaju, expressing his displeasure:” nothing as depressing as having to study amidst fears and mayhem and the University management are showing less concern to the situation. As if they are not legally responsible for our security”

“With this protest, It is our believe that they would take us serious this time around by putting certain measures into place” he said.
