The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has sounded a warning to those instigating crisis within the party, particularly against its leaders. The party has been closely monitoring malicious write-ups on social media and mainstream media aimed at creating disturbances and sowing discord.
According to Hon Aminu Sani Gumel, Chairman of the APC in Jigawa State, the party will not tolerate any attempts to disrupt its peace and stability.
The APC-led government, under Governor Malam Umar Namadi, is a continuation of the previous administration led by Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, and both leaders enjoy the party’s confidence and respect.
The party has specifically condemned a sponsored report against Honourable Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, which labeled him with false allegations, including anti-party activities. The APC questions the credibility of the faceless group behind these allegations, pointing out that they were nowhere to be found when the Minister successfully delivered Jigawa State and the Northern region to President Bola Ahmed Tinibu during the 2023 general election.
The APC reassures its commitment to delivering its campaign promises in Jigawa State and Nigeria. The party vows to take necessary legal and political action to identify and sanction the perpetrators of these malicious reports, serving as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.
This development comes after the APC temporarily suspended its campaign activities in Jigawa State in 2022 to focus on alleviating the sufferings of flood victims.
The party has demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of its citizens and will not tolerate any attempts to undermine its leadership.
