Kayode Oyin-Zubair sets to empower Farmers, Market women, Others

Hon. Kayode Oyin Zubair, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Intervention to Kwara Governor through his foundation, KOZ intervention has announced different categories of an empowerment scheme for community dwellers in Kwara State.

Hon. Zubair during a media briefing with journalists on Thursday in Ilorin, Kwara State made the announcement, said that the initiative is to support the re-election bid of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the forthcoming polls.

The empowerment which was tagged “Igbeayerere Kwara” will feature the distribution of Mini Tractors for Small Holder Farmers (SHF), Grant for Market Women, Grant for Community Development Associations, Commissioning of APC Information Center and Inauguration of 130 Information Officers.

“We have basically discovered that there are challenges facing our community and we will try our possible best to proffer solutions to some of them because we can’t do all”, he said.

“Being SSA on Community intervention to Gov Abdulrazaq, I have prioritized providing solutions to community problems. In and out of the office, I want to continue to be with people, providing one solution or the other.

“This is why I have decided to support traders, communities as well as 30 of the mini tractors will be released to smallholder farmers to have something to work on their farms.”

Hon Zubair while explaining some of his community intervention projects within and outside the office, stated that “we gave out computer system to schools in Kwara, we have launched M100 intervention to support Gov Abdulrazaq re-election bid and our party’s flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Also, have facilitated Micro-grants in partnership with Aliko Dangote Foundation.”

Speaking further, KOZ disclosed the criterion for selecting the beneficiaries, noting that, “People that would get the grants are those that need it either to foster the progress of what they have been doing or the use it to start a new business.”

On his part, Engineer Tola Raheem, a technological expert, explained that the “7G captain D1 2600 mini tractor, can easily work on any type of land. It is a four-wheel tractor.”

Shortly after the briefing, a female tricycle rider; Akinronle Abigail Funmilayo who is a beneficiary of KOZ intervention, appreciated Hon. Zubair for completing the payment of her tricycle.
