•appreciates Gov Abdulrazaq over ongoing projects
The Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) have commended the Federal Government for approving the award of construction of the Kaiama Kishi Road in Oyo/Kwara states in favour of Messrs Phipps infrastructure limited in the sum of Twenty-four billion naira (24billion) with a completion period of 36 months.
This development was made known recently at the venue of the royal Coronation that took place in Kaiama where the Governor was turbaned alongside Senate President Dr. Ahmad Lawan who bagged the title of Magayaki Kaiama and the senator representing Kwara North Sadiq Suleiman Umar who was enrobed as Dan-Amar – or the beloved Prince of Kaiama by Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Muazu Shehu Omar.
“We express the hope that the Federal Executive Council approval would breathe life into the economy of the Kwara North region while serving as a bridge and meeting point between the core North and Southwest region of the Country”.
We specially appreciate the effort of Govenor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led administration on the upgrading of the Emir’s Palace Road; Gweria Township Road; and the ongoing Kishi-Kaiama and Bani Township Roads.
Similarly, we convey our appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and the Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Pharm. Sadiq Umar who have all worked hand in hand to see to the capturing of the road in the 2022 budget and its subsequent approval by the Federal Executive Council.
While hoping for the take-off and sustenance of the project for completion within the contractual time frame by making adequate budgetary provisions, we pray and hope that the contractors are being mobilized to commence the work soon.
