The visit of the Kwara Commissioner for Water Resources to his hometown of Lade, Patigi Local Government area, is a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to enhance water resource management and community engagement. This visit underscores the Commissioner’s strong commitment to his new role following his recent appointment by His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq

During the stakeholder engagement in Lade, the Commissioner had the opportunity to interact with local leaders, community members, party members, and various stakeholders who play crucial roles in the development of the community. This engagement provided a platform for open discussions on the challenges, opportunities, and priorities related to Governance and development in Patigi Local Government.

The visit also included site visits to existing water infrastructure and facilities in the area, allowing the Commissioner to gain firsthand knowledge of the state of these resources and identify areas in need of improvement or investment.

The Commissioner reassured the community of his commitment to addressing their concerns and improving water access and quality. He pledged to work closely with local leaders, stakeholders, and government agencies to develop comprehensive strategies to advance and development to Patigi Local Government.

The Patigi Local Government APC Party Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Swasun in his remarks on behalf of the entire LGA expressed his deep gratitude to the Governor for entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing water resources in the state. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and local communities to ensure sustainable and equitable access to clean water, as well as the efficient management of water resources.

The stakeholder engagement was well attended by Elders, Women and Youth groups, community-based organizations, party members, and well-wishers from the three wards in Lade District.
