The Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism to the Kwara State Governor, Hon. Muka Aramide Eyiwumi, was on Thursday, formally installed as the Mayegun of Aran-Orin in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The conferment ceremony took place at the Alaran Palace, where Hon. Eyiwumi was recognised for his contributions to the promotion of Yoruba culture and development of Aran Orin land, as well as his ongoing service to the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Also honoured at the event was the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Hon. Solace Fafoluyi Olayinka, who received the title of Akeweje of Aran-Orin.

His recognition was based on his public service and efforts in building capacity of youths across Kwara State.

The traditional rites were conducted by the Alaran of Aran-Orin, in the presence of dignitaries including several Kwara State Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and political officeholders.

Their attendance reflected strong government representation and support for the honorees.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Alhaji Yinka Quadri, was also present at the event to show solidarity with Hon. Eyiwumi, who is also a respected figure in the Nigerian film industry.

The actor described the installation as a well-earned recognition of Hon. Eyiwumi’s long-standing contribution to culture and entertainment.

The ceremony featured traditional performances, music, and a warm reception by the people of Aran-Orin, who expressed appreciation for the Governor’s commitment to cultural engagement and community development.

The installation of both aides highlights the ongoing efforts of the AbdulRazaq administration to recognise service, promote cultural heritage, and strengthen ties between governance and traditional institutions in the state.
