The management of the Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB) has again reiterated the commitment of this administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq towards providing uninterrupted quality healthcare services in the state with the installation of a 10KVA and 5KVA solar inverters at the Cottage Hospital, Ajase-Ipo.
The Executive Secretary, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik stated that the 5KVA inverter will serve as backup to provide 24-hours uninterrupted supply of electricity to the operating theatre, maternity and laboratory while the 10KVA will serve the entire hospital including the wards, offices and provide security lighting around the hospital at night.
Malik affirmed that this will improve the quality of healthcare services in the facility. He added that the patients will enjoy uninterrupted service delivery and hospital staff will have an improved work environment.
The scribe of the agency, urged the staff of the hospital to take ownership of the maintenance of the equipment so it can last the test of time.
Recall, that the Kwara State Government has installed solar inverters in several hospitals across the state and these installations are ongoing until all state hospitals are provided 24-hours power supply, the Executive Secretary assured.
