About five hundred people in Ajikobi-Alanamu wards, in Ilorin West Local Government Area have benefited from the cash support sponsored by the member representing Ilorin North-West Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hajia Ayi Olatundun-Babatunde.
Speaking at the event, Hajia Olatundun-Babatunde who said each of beneficiaries from the Seven wards got the sum of Ten thousand naira, pointed out that the aim of the cash relief is to cushion effect of the economic hardship which is a global phenomenon.
The lawmaker explained that with the situation of things in the country, there is need for regular intervention from all and sundry so that the masses can have a sense of belonging and build trust in the government.
She said her intervention is to compliment the good work of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who doubles as the Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum.
Hajia Olatundun-Babatunde while assuring the people of Ajikobi-Alanamu of her determination in fulfilling her campaign promises, enumerated some of her achievements to include drilling of motorized borehole at Alanamu, Ogidi, Oloje and Ubandawaki wards.
In addition, the lawmaker said forty solar powered street lights have been installed while JAMB forms were procured for candidates from Ilorin North-West Constituency respectively.
Highpoint of the event was presentation of various cash amounts to the people of Ajikobi-Alanamu wards, while the beneficiaries commended the lawmaker for the cash relief which according to them was another timely palliative.
There event was attended by the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu, other members of the Tenth Legislature, the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Alhaji Uthman Atolagbe-Jos, State Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Mustapha Ishowo, KWASSIP General Manager, Dr Abdulwasiu Tejidini among others.
