On Wednesday 24th March, 2022, a host of executive members of Kwara Youth Circle (KYC) comprising the Coordinator; Mahmood Loke Onimasa, Director of Planning; Sa’d Abdulafeez, Director of Gender; Mahmood loke rodiyat and the Director of Publicity; Abdulganiyu Abdulrahman Akanbi, paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara state Ministry of Youth Development. The team was honorarily welcomed by the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry and other stakeholders.
Over the years, the organization is known for changing the already existing narratives, negative believes and stereotypes against the youth at large, while it also key to setting the record right by proving that youths are positive-minded, instrumental, productive and development agent in the state and the country at large. That’s why Kwara Youth Circle is known for its values in organizing and engaging in developmental programmes.
As the organization is known for its struggle to promote youth development in Kwara state, the center of discussions that ensued between KYC executives and the Ministry stakeholders on this day was to further create an enabling environment where youth in the state can leverage on in terms of leadership skills, digital skills, youth empowerment, divergence from negative social vices and others.
In its continuing efforts to enhance youth growth and its passion for education development in the state, KYC, as discussed with the Ministry of Youth, yesterday, is set to embark on massive empowerment for youth in the state, named “Project ‘22”. This will be on effort to build more on their watchwords to watch the community grow bigger.
As the organization’s visit to the Ministry was based on youth development project in the state, however, the Ministry commended the organization for its struggle and pleaded its support.
The permanent secretary, ministry of youth and sport, Barr. (Mrs) Funke Iyabo Banire appreciated the effort of the organization and charged them towards resiliency in their operations.
The perm sec of the ministry then pledged the support of the ministry to the course and ambition of Kwara Youth Circle and granted them unlimited access to the ministry anytime any day.
Kwara Youth Circle in their remarks commended the open hands given to them by the ministry and promised never to relent on their ambition to bring greatness and youth emancipation to Kwarans.
