Kwara Youths Advocate, a socio-political organization in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state has charged the federal legislator representing Ilorin East/South federal constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Yinka Aluko, to put forward legislation and contribution that will make meaningful impact in the lives of his constituents.
In a statement by the president of the group, Busayo David, in Ilorin at the weekend, the group said that expectations of the constituents are high judged by level of poverty among the people.
Busayo, who congratulated the lawmaker on his hard-earned victory at the polls, admonished Aluko to continue to listen to the people regardless of tribe, religion, and other social factors.
The group also advised the lawmaker to set machinery in motion to consult on issues affecting the people towards addressing their needs and aspiration effectively, rather than adopting what it called an, up-bottom approach”.
“I will not be the first to congratulate you nor will I be the last, because you remained the man of the people which you will continue to be.
“You have always listened to the people regardless of tribe, religion, and other social factors and I hope you will continue to do the same forever.
“My earnest prayer is that may you be a shining light in the Green Chambers, putting forward legislation and contributions that will have a meaningful impact on your constituents, Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency.
“I do not doubt in my mind that after your tenure of office at the expiration of the 10th Assembly, the people of Ilorin East/South federal constituency will be singing “We want you again for a second term in office” as a result of the qualitative and responsive performance(s) you will have displayed in the Hallowed Green Chambers of the House Of Representatives”.
