The Coalition of Youth Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ekiti Local Government area of Kwara state, has applauded the legislative representation of the lawmaker representing Ekiti constituency in the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel, and has thus endorsed him as candidate of choice for a second term.
The group is made up of all the 10 Wards’ Youth Leaders in the area and the Local Government Youth Leader.
In a press statement issued on Sunday and signed by all the stakeholders in the coalition, the group said that it has become imperative for the youths of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti Local Government to acknowledge the love and commitment, infrastructural and social development of Ekiti Local Government within the period used in office so far by the legislator.
The APC Ward youth leaders and the local government youth leader, who said that Hon. Abolarin has surpassed his predecessors, added that the lawmaker has also distinguished himself among his contemporaries.
“It is glaring to all and sundry that the Lawmaker representing Ekiti Constituency in the 9th Kwara Assembly has displayed high level of leadership quality which other youth can emulate.
“It is on this record that in less than three years in office, Hon. Abolarin has unveiled a number of infrastructural projects, social intervention and empowerment programmes as his scorecards to his constituents.
“He has constructed motorized boreholes supported with power generating sets in all the wards across Ekiti Local Government Area among other infrastructural facilities.
“He has also facilitated employment opportunities to about 48 youths across the wards of Ekiti Local Government Area. This was in addition to skill acquisition and training programmes which he organised to train 73 youths selected across the wards in the art of liquid soap making, liquid disinfectant making, air fresheners and hand sanitizer. The 73-youths were certified and empowered with take-off capital by the lawmaker.
Also, for the first time in the history of Ekiti Constituency, Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel empowered about 150 constituents with working tools ranging from motorcycles sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers, deep freezers, haircut clippers with power generating sets, vulcanizing machines, auto-mechanics tools, among others.
He also empowered 50 other constituents with business capital to start small enterprises.
These among so many other reasons were what the Progressive Youths of Ekiti Local Government considered to have rated the performance of Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu as the best ever recorded in the history of Ekiti Constituency representation at the Kwara State House of Assembly, and therefore deserving of the endorsement of the progressive Youth as represented by the youth leaders from across all the 10-wards which constitute Ekiti Constituency. We, the Progressive Youth of Ekiti Local Government, represented by the Youth leaders therefore unanimously endorse Honourable Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel and declared him as our candidate of choice for a second term as the representative of Ekiti Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly comes 2023.
“On this note the entire APC YOUTH LEADERS from EKITI LOCAL GOVERNMENT, endorse AGG for second term”, the statement said.
