Earlier today, the Prudent Watch media house got hold of a press statement of a member representing Kwara North at the 5th Session of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Honourable Saddiq Buhari, has asserted officially to contest for the seat of Edu Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election.

Buhari who made the declaration today in his country home, Tsaragi, before the All Progressives Congress APC elders, Ward Executives, and stakeholders alongside members of the party explained that his decision to throw in the hat is born out of his desire to redefine representation and give Edu constituents a new lease of life.

He expressed confidence that as someone who was born and brought up in the Constituency with considerable good knowledge of the customs and traditions of the land, especially the needs and wants of the people, coupled with his exposure and experience, the Edu people would be in safe hand if trusted with their mandate.

The soft-spoken, ebullient, eloquent, and vibrant youth who is popularly known and addressed as BuhariofKwara told his people that, if given the mandate, he would deplore his experience garnered over the years especially at the National Assembly (NASS) and Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) to do build on the foundation already laid for the Constituency.

BuhariofKwara acknowledged and appreciated the many significant and masses-impacting programs and projects of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the state, stressing that those beautiful works and simplicity of the Governor are parts of the reasons kwarans especially those from the northern part are calling on him to re-contest come 2023.

Stakeholders, elders, and key members of the APC in their separate goodwill messages to turn to acknowledge that Buhari of Kwara is among the fewest gifted Edu-born who is making the people of the area proud and pledged their full support to his ambition.
