KWSG Charges Heads of Tertiary Institutions on Productive Synergy

The Kwara State Government has called on Heads of Tertiary Institutions in the state to remain steadfast and committed to the productive growth and development of their various citadels of learning.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Hajia Sidikat Bola Alaya, made the call today at the bi-monthly meeting of Heads of the 11 State-owned Tertiary Institutions, held at the conference Hall of the Ministry.

Hajia Alaya emphasized that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration is committed to addressing the challenges bedeviling the institutions, especially those bothering on staff welfare and positive turnaround of infrastructure.

She disclosed that the state government, within the limited resources, has been consistent in the payment of monthly subvention and grants for accreditation of courses, among other landmark achievements across the institutions.

The Permanent Secretary charged the school heads to be appreciative of government’s efforts and interventions geared towards sustaining academic excellence in the affected institutions.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Muhammed Akanbi (SAN), advocated the need for robust and productive synergy among the institutions, to further enhance their sustainable growth and development.

In their submissions, the Provosts of the Colleges of Education in the state and CAILS appreciates HIS EXCELLENCY for signing the N30,000 minimum wage and Consequential adjustment for CONTEDISS in the Institutions
